Donation Procedure

The Bradford Central School Superintendent is authorized to accept gifts on behalf of the Board of Education.

In determining whether or not to accept a proposed gift, the Board/and or Superintendents will
consider whether the costs of the gift outweigh its benefit (storage, insurance, maintenance).

If a gift is accepted, the donor will be officially thanked by a letter of acknowledgement that will also constitute the donor’s receipt.

Step 1: Staff or community member should the offer of gift/donation in writing to the Superintendent.

Step 2: Superintendent/Board of Education determine whether to accept the gift/donation.

Step 3: Superintendent/Board of Education authorizes the District Clerk to respond in writing as to accept or decline the offer.

Step 4: Copy of the letter of acceptance or declination are filed with the District Clerk and the Business Office.
