Emergency Closings

In the event it is necessary to close school for the day due to inclement weather or other emergency reasons, announcement thereof shall be made directly to staff and parents via the computerized telephone notifications system, on the district website, and over the following local radio and television stations as designated by the Board of Education:

• WINGS 105 FM (1490 AM)
• WCIK 90.3
• WVIN 98.3 FM (1380 AM)
• WSKG 91.1
• WFLR 95.9 FM (1570 AM)
• WCBA 98.7 (1350 AM)
• WENY TV (Channel 36)
• WETM TV (Channel 18)

These radio and TV stations will be notified as soon as possibly usually before 6:00 AM.  The home page of this website will also be updated as early as possible to keep students and parents aware of any changes.  Please do not call the Superintendent or the Bus Garage.

When school is closed, all related activities, including athletic events and student activities, will ordinarily be suspended for that day and evening.
