Health Services

The BCS Health Office provides many services to students.  These include screenings for vision, hearing, scoliosis, height/weight, BMI, health appraisals/physicals, and dental certificates.  Head checks for pediculosis (head lice/nits) are done whenever necessary.  Emergency, routine, and first aid medications and care are administered per doctor's orders.  Attendance related information, immunizations and physical exam records are compiled, maintained, and reported to New York State when directed by law as well.  Other programs such as NYS supplemental fluoride, Miles for Healthy Smiles, and health related teaching are also services managed and/or offered by the nurse.
