Financial Aid Resources

Important Update: In April 2024, the NYS legislature passed a law requiring that all NYSED high schools share financial aid information with families of current seniors. This page contains the link to the HESC website, which is the NYS financial aid website. This is a great site to check anytime for up to date financial aid information. You can also sign up for email or text message updates. The pdf, NYS Financial Aid Resources, contains documents posted by HESC on FAFSA, TAP, some NYS specific college funding programs, and some NYS specific loan forgiveness programs. You will also find the SUNY link which will take you to the SUNY events page; some upcoming events include virtual workshops on financial aid and FAFSA completion, all events will require you to sign up.

NYS requires all public high schools to track FAFSA completion for all current seniors and a waiver that will need to be signed for any senior who does not plan to file the FAFSA.
