MEET THE COUNSELOR
Welcome to Bradford Central School! My name is Brittany Reinard and I am the PreK-12 School Counselor here at BCS!
Although I graduated high school from the small town of Port Allegany, PA, I am no stranger to the area as I have been spending my summers on Lamoka Lake since the 9th grade! After graduating high school, I attended Alfred State College where I received my Associates Degree in Human Services! After taking a year off from college, I transferred to Alfred University where I double majored in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and Child Psychology.
Before attending graduate school at AU, I worked as a server at Applebee’s for six and a half years, substituted in a number of local school districts, and spent a year as a foster care caseworker. These opportunities provided me with great experience working with students and their families as well as the community.
I graduated with my Master’s Degree and Certificate of Advanced Studies from Alfred University in May of 2021 and joined the BCS team in August 2021! Some of my roles here as a school counselor are to:
Meet with students 1 on 1
Provide short-term counseling
Facilitate group sessions and classroom guidance lessons
Help students create and achieve their goals
Provide college and career readiness
Work alongside students to navigate through their post graduation plans whether that be college applications and the decision making process or creating a resume to enter the workforce
Needs assessments & much more!
My door is always open for students and staff to come in with any questions or concerns - especially if they just need someone to talk to!
Some of my interests include spending time with friends and family, fostering animals for our local humane society, crafting, American Hillclimb racing, and traveling to new places.
