Dear Parents:
Absentee/Retake day is coming up! Inter-State/SLR Photography will be here
on Nov 2 2023, to photograph anyone that was absent on the original day and
retake those who are not satisfied with their original photo. * Please be
sure to send your original picture package back to the school with
your child(ren) to give to the photographer **when they go to the
camera.*
RETAKE DAY TIP: Many times the children are unsure as to what you were unhappy
with, when the photographer asks... so it is a HUGE help if you attach a
note with your returned package to the photographer letting him/her know
what you're looking for. If your child(ren) was absent on the original day
and you would like to pre-order a picture package from the absentee picture
day, please see the online order info below.
Please call the Inter-State office with any questions regarding this.
(585)310-7781.

Attention Families of 3rd through 6th graders:

If you would like to see some of the most incredible chalk art ever created, it is being displayed on the sidewalks at BCS. If you are afraid of spooky pictures you might want to avoid looking down.

Wilder made his much anticipated debut today at BCS. Needless to say, he was a hit with students and staff.

Dear BCS Families,
This Friday, October 20th is a half-day of school for students at BCS. Elementary students will start being dismissed from school at 11:30 AM and high school students at 11:37 AM. Lunch will be provided for students prior to their dismissal. As there is no school at BOCES this day, seniors who attend a BOCES CTE program will not have to report to school.
Thank you.
BCS would like to introduce and welcome Wilder to or school district. Wilder is a registered therapy dog and will be slowly integrated into the school day. He is excited to help support the emotional and social needs of our students, as well a rid the building of any cats. Just kidding, Wilder is a friend to all. Wilder's first day at BCS will be this coming Friday, which is a 1/2 for students. Please keep checking back, as we're excited to provide updates on his contributions.

There will be an afternoon conference for faculty on Friday, October 20, 2023. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:37 AM. Senior BOCES students do not have to report to school on this day, as BOCES is hosting an all day conference and the Cooper Campus will be closed for student activities.

Dear BCS Families,
This morning we conducted a lockdown drill at school. Time was taken to review procedures we would follow in the event of an emergency situation. After this review occurred, we then physically practiced our response. Please know the safety and security of our children and staff is always a top priority within our district. As a parent/guardian you can help us keep our school secure by talking with your child about school safety and reporting any concerning information or activity. We are fortunate to have a School Resource Officer present in our building everyday and this deputy can be a vital asset to our entire district and community. Together we are better, stronger and safer!
