World soccer might have Messi and Ronaldo, but we have Gabe and Dylan, I like our chances. Great teamwork the other night and congratulations Gabe on your first varsity goal.

BCS students learning how one small act of kindness can start a chain reaction. Thank you all of our students, staff, parents and community members for helping to make the Rachel’s Challenge event a huge success. Let’s work together to make our school and community a place Rachel Joy Scott would be proud of.

Dear Parents, Students and Members of the Community,
Please join us at Open House on Wednesday, September 11th from 6:00-7:00 PM. There will be a special community assembly called Rachel’s Challenge immediately following at 7:00 PM. Rachel’s Challenge is a marvelous program aimed at teaching the importance of kindness in our actions. This program was started to honor Rachel Joy Scott, the first victim of the Columbine school shooting tragedy. We hope that many parents, community members and students in grades 7-12 will join us in support of this effort to make our school a safer and more inviting place for everyone. I have had the opportunity to attend this program on two different occasions and I can assure you that you will be touched by its message. Go Braves!

Don’t mean to toot our own horn, but we hired a great band teacher this year. Welcome to BCS Mr. Blumenfeld.

And we are off, let the learning begin!
